Glaucoma

Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of blindness in the United States. It can occur at any age but is more common in older adults. The most common form of glaucoma has no warning signs. The effect is so gradual that you may not notice a change in vision until the condition is at an advanced stage.

Diabetic Retinopathy

Diabetic retinopathy is a diabetes complication that affects eyes. It is caused by damage to the blood vessels of the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye, the retina. Diabetic retinopathy may have no symptoms but can progress to blindness.

Age Related Macular Degeneration

Age-related macular degeneration (ARMD) is a condition involving part of the retina called the macula is damaged. With ARMD you lose your central vision and cannot see fine details, whether you are looking at something close or far.

Dr. Dieu Thai, OD

Dr. Dieu Thai has been a Dallas native since immigrating from Vietnam at the age of 4. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from Baylor University. She attended the University of Houston College of Optometry and was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Doctorate of Optometry in 2007.

Dr. Thai is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and Glaucoma Specialist. She is fluent in Spanish and Vietnamese.

She loves to travel to beach destinations and spend time with her family.
